Ask him yourself. Contra Costa County Sheriff, Warren Rupf, will be the special guest of the Contra Costa Taxpayers, breakfast, Friday monring, May 29th. The great breakfast buffet begins at 745 a.m., at the Greenery, located at 1551 Marchbanks, in Walnut Creek (Diablo Hills Golf Course Club House above the pool at Heather Farms). Come ask Warren what he thinks about running in the special election for CD-10.

Sheriff Rupf is an outspoken critic of County contracts taxpayers cannot afford. He was willing to stand up to the Board of Supervisors and say, “Local Government is not broke, but broken.”

$20 includes breakfast. RSVP ASAP by e-mail, or phone (925-228-5610), as this event will sell out.

I wouldn’t vote for Rupf for dog-catcher, because I like dogs too much.

To the Editor:

An amazing $213,955 is what Warren Rupf earned in 2007, according to . What does Rupf currently receive in benefits?

Who knows what Rupf will get in pension and retirement compensation?

Incombent Congresswoman, Ellen Tauscher, is earning $174,000 in 2009 according to .

Why would Rupf want to go from earning $213,955 to something like $174,000? That’s a $40,000 pay cut!

Conclusion: If a person, like Rupf, wants to serve in Congress and is willing to take a pay cut, can such a person be trusted to manage the public’s money competently?
