The Conservative Support Group’s October Meeting on Wednesday October 28, will take part in the national “Tea Party Express” group at their Walnut Creek rally. It will be held at the Civic Park, 1375 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, at 5pm. Look for us and our signs. There is no charge. David Harmer will be speaking at the event as well.

Spokesperson Diana Nagy said, “This isn’t like normal tea parties on the street. It’s an event to celebrate America. It’s very patriotic, we do a beautiful military tribute as well, and it’s an emotional, uplifting, fun event!

“That’s why you CSGers should bring families, grandkids, and flags! It starts at 5:30pm and will go to about 7pm. Parking is at Civic Park, at the Broadway lot just south of the Maria Maria Mexican Restaurant, and the Locust Street parking near Lesher Center. We will be at the gazebo.”

Where was the Tea Party movement during the past 8 years when so-called conservatives spent like drunken sailors? (that was how John McCain described it) The reality is that the impact to the federal deficit as the result of the stimulus package and health care reform is a sliver compared to the deficits incurred due to the Bush tax cuts, the totally unfunded Medicare Pharmaceutical bill, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan which have both lasted far longer than they needed to due to the Bush administrations malfeasance. The stimulus package and resulting expansion of government was the only way to avoid a world wide depression. There isn’t a single respected economist in this country conservative or liberal, who advocated a different approach.

There is a lot to be angry about in this country, and the Tea Party movement should be applauded for their civic involvement. The political system is badly corrupted by the special interests on both sides of the aisle and regular hard working Americans have been badly victimized by it. However, Obama is simply trying to clean up an economic mess caused by the Reagan era movement to de-regulate financial institutions including the shadow finacial system on Wall Street that almost destroyed this country.

I hope someone will address these topics.
What Must Change In Washington If We Expect To Survive?

1. Reinstate the “Uptick Rule”; Until this is accomplished Wall Street will continue to rob ordinary investors of their hard earned dollars. I don’t understand much of the doings on Wall Street but I do understand this. Wall Street Money Barons who are the hedge fund dealers, short sellers and naked short sellers are now free to practice these investment strategies and have reaped billions of dollars in profits that rightfully belong to hard working Americas. All this money is needed capital for small businesses across America. It now remains in the hands of Wall Street billionaires who are free to bribe Congressmen with large campaign contributions to keep the “Uptick Rule” suspended, out of their way! Congress needs to regulate these investment strategies or get rid of them altogether.

2. Congress must terminate the “Community Reinvestment Act”. This bill was the seed that grew our great housing boom and eventual bust; the housing bubble that when it burst, brought crashing down our entire economy. The banks are still practicing “Sub Prime Lending”. Since our government has taken over the banks, they are not likely to stop this risky practice, not unless we demand it. In addition, we must demand an audit of the Federal Reserve.

3. Congress must regulate the banks who continue to pursue the same risky practices that brought Wall Street crashing to it’s knees. They must regulate the bank’s practice of bundling together these toxic home loans as “Mortgage Backed Securities and Derivatives” or Wall Street will do the same thing all over again.

How many more billions and trillions of dollars can we afford to loose before we become a Banana Republic? Truth be told, this is exactly what the loony left who are now in power want. Obama will sign away our sovereignty at the “Global Warming Conference” in Copenhagen in two weeks and America will cease to be. Global Government will be the our new ruler. This is no joke folks. They must be stopped.

We must demand that our Representatives, our Senators and the Supreme Court address these issues or nothing will change and we will wind up with Hyperinflation and Depression. Corruption, Crony Capitalism and Bribes in our government must be terminated. We must act if our children are to remain free and prosperous.
