
(OSLO: TAA:OL) recently introduced high-definition (HD) group and personal videoconferencing systems. The new HD systems provide a great platform for remote collaboration. In fact, such a system might cut down on Helen Allen’s commute to Concord City Council meetings. And— speaking of “counting to three”— special interest lobbyists and developers’ attorneys could put this kind of tech to great use to line up important votes instead of conducting serial meetings, or leaving incriminating voice messages.
NON-PROFIT MIGHT RUN CITY WI-FI IN BOSTON
For those of you following the progress of free Wi-Fi service sponsored by various municipalities such as Concord’s free Wi-Fi pilot project in downtown Concord, consider Boston’s plan to appoint a non-profit to sponsor (finance?) a similar service.
