Google Inc. is enabling users to find and print coupons from local merchants listed in the online search leader’s index of local businesses, adding to a slew of free features designed to attract more traffic to its Web site. I bet the Chamber members are all over this one! Heaven forbid we could get our pizza coupons online instead of having them stuffed into our mailboxes.

AnchorFree is a service that finds free WiFi hotspots in your area. Just log in and enter the area you are visiting and click. The Anchor Free service finds the locations of the hotspots where you can get Internet access with an appropriately equipped computer (not included). Here’s a listing for Concord. Metro-Fi, the provider that is building out Concord’s free service in downtown around Todos Santos Park, recently joined the AnchorFree network.
