Gallery Cnncord will hold its 2009 opening reception on Friday January 9th, 6 to 8 PM. Enjoy music by the “Mistral Winds”, a woodwind quartet, as you visit with featured artist, Denise Miller and discuss how she gets all those beautiful glowing colors in her watercolor paintings. Also enjoy the work of another guest artist Chloe Trujillo, and the primal, spiritual elegance of her works. Check out all the new works of both our 25 gallery members and the art of the CWA Member juried show.

Denise Oyama Miller, a transplant to Fremont California from Baltimore Maryland, began watercolor painting in 1992 when she “immediately became hooked on the beautiful transparent colors that are possible in this medium”. Since then Millers works have won many awards and are now in numerous private collections. She presently paints representational images from nature with lush jewel like clarity. Besides Gallery Concord, Miller’s work can be seen at Alexander’s Fine Art in Pleasanton and with The Artist 7, which show as a group throughout Northern California. Chloe Trujillo, a world traveler, musician and artist, grew up in an artistic family in Paris France. She studied mathematics, music and art at University. Her art expresses her passions, her memories, and her connections with emotion and spiritual healing. She presents images through dream or personal experiences, some beautiful some dangerous. Gallery Concord launches Fall Festival of Color, Oct 3

“Fall Festival of Color” opens with a reception on Friday October 3 from 6-8 pm at Gallery Concord. Enjoy the music of singer Bob Merritt, and see the works of internationally known Featured artist, Qian Gao, with his expressive watercolors and Gallery guest artist, nationally recognized oil painter, Tara Keefe. Also on display will be the works of our 25 member artists and a juried group show by California Watercolor Artists.

Gallery Concord presents Explosion of Color, Apr 4

Gallery Concord will celebrate its Explosion of Color exhibit with a reception Friday evening, April 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments, and music. Gallery Concord to present Spring Renditions, Mar 31

Gallery Concord will kick off its Spring exhibit with a reception on Saturday, March 31, from 1-3 p.m. Located at 1765 Galindo St., Gallery Concord will feature the work of Sue Johnston. Additional guest artists include Simone Archer (ceramics) and a retrospective former Clayton Valley High School art teacher, Jim Enemark. Music will be provided by keyboardist, Jum Hudak. Gallery Concord to feature Winter Works

The Artists in Residence of Gallery Concord will present its first exhibit of 2007 on Friday, January 5 from 5-7 p.m. Featured artist will be Mary Spivey and will include another member’s “mini-show.” Music by the Dana Street Jazz Trio. Exhibit runs through March 5 at 1765 Galindo St one block south of Willow Pass. Parking in back of building.

Gallery Concord Open House, Dec 3

The Artists in Residence at Gallery Concord will hold their annual Holiday Party and Mini Show, on Sunday, December 3 at the Masonic Temple located at 1765 Galindo St in Concord. Holiday music will be provided by the Clayton Valley High School Girl’s Chorus. Special exhibits by five guest artists and a special members’ Mini Show runs Dec thru January 2, 2007.
