Join the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano to learn about hunger in our community as Empty Bowls is presented by Tesoro Corporation on March 11 the Concord Facility. Check-in and Warehouse tours begin at 5:30 with a simple meal of soup and bread donated by, The Big C Athletic Club, Sweet Tomatoes, Loaves and Fishes, and Panera Bread at 6:00.

During dinner, guests will enjoy a presentation on the connection between hunger and obesity in our community. Guests are invited to take home the handcrafted bowl they use as a reminder of all the empty bowls right here in our own community. At only $10 per person or $30 for a family of four, Empty Bowls is an extremely affordable way to support the Food Bank and the 82,000 people served each month by Food Bank programs and partner agencies. Boy Scouts go door to door for Food Bank, Nov 17

Local ares Boy Scouts will go door to door on November 17th in both Contra Costa and Solano Counties to collect canned food for the Food Bank during the Scouting For Food food drive. Don’t forget to leave out your donation of nonperishable and non-breakable food that morning!
