On Saturday, November 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., NBC Bay Area Chief Meteorologist John Farley brings his Holiday Food Drive to Bay Area Lucky locations. NBC Bay Area and Bay Area Kiwanis volunteers will collect food and money to benefit local food banks at Lucky Supermarket. Generous donors can purchase a special $10 & $20 bag filled with nutritious groceries. The Kiwanis Clubs throughout Contra Costa County will be collecting donations at SaveMart and Lucky stores this Saturday and delivering the donations to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

Abram Wilson launches AD-15 campaign website

Mayor Abram Wilson (R-San Ramon) unveiled his campaign website - www.wilsonforassembly.com. He will face Democrat Joan Buchanan to replace termed out Assemblyman, Guy Houston. AD-15 represents the only Bay Area legislative seat currently held by a Republican.

Among many other things, the website features a biography of Abram and background about the district. It also contains a photo gallery and information regarding volunteering and contributing to the campaign. Finally, the website highlights the numerous awards Abram has received and endorsements throughout Assembly District 15.

The 15th Assembly District includes Alamo, Brentwood, Danville, Livermore, Oakley, San Ramon, Walnut Creek and a portion of Pleasanton. CCRA to host Republican candidates for AD-15, May 14

The Contra Costa Republican Assembly will host four candidates for the Republican nomination for the AD-15 Assembly on Wednesday, May 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Denny’s Restaurant in Danville, located at 807 Camino Ramon Road at Sycamore. Scott Kamena, Judy Lloyd, Robert Rao, and Abram Wilson will be on hand to discuss the upcoming election to replace termed-out Assemblyman, Guy Houston, now a candidate for Contra Costa Supervisor (District 3).
