Tom Torlakson</a>, will appear in a debate on October 19 sponsored by <a href="http://www.lamorindademoclub.com">The Lamorinda Democratic Club</a>. Because voter registration in the district comprising most of Contra Costa County is drawn to heavily favor Democrats, the winner of the June 2008 Primary will likely win the seat in the November general election.</p>

<p>Locals report that Glass, who opposes Arkley&#8217;s Home-Depot-anchored Marina development project, also accused Arkley of having Glass followed. According to the Herald, &#8220;Glazer said he’s worked on Arkley’s “Marina Center” concept for a year and a half, but didn’t witness the September 5 altercation.&#8221;</p>
