Senator Torlakson hosts his Tenth Annual All-Star Barbeque and Chili Cook-Off, Sunday, September 14. The event is scheduled from 1-5 p.m. at the Marina Waterfront Park in Martinez. The Jeff Dodge Memorial Chili Cook-Off will be held from 1-2:30 p.m., with the barbeque to be served at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, $60 for a family, and sponsorship levels are available. Warren Rupf, and the Sheriff’s Posse if Contra Costa will hold its annual BBQ at the Antioch Fairgrounds on Sunday, July 27, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. (Note New Time!). Menu includes BBQ tri-tip, sausage, corn on the cob, and fresh fruit. Reservations are required. Space is limited to first 350. Tickets are only $10. Supervisor Bonilla holds 2nd annual Endless Summer BBQ, Jul 17

Susan Bonilla, Contra Costa County Supervisor (District-IV), will hold her 2nd annual Endless Summer BBQ on July 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Pleasant Hill Community Center, located at 320 Civic Drive. Susan’s special guest will be Assemblymember Mary Hayashi, who represnts AD-18 (Hayward, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and Dublin-Pleasanton). Hayashi is the chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Community Collegesm and is Assistant Majority Whip of the Democratic Caucus in the California State Assembly.
