According to SF Chronicle reports, “A man distributing “The Revolution” newspaper shouted, “This whole damn system is guilty!”"

The Revolution Bookstore is a hotbed for the Revolutionary Communist Party that promotes the cult of personality of Maoist radical Bob Avakian, apparently in hiding. These groups, in the hopes of causing enough chaos to spark the revolution, typically link up with local protests, then whip up a crowd into a frenzy, then break off from that and start turning over cars, and tossing bricks into bank windows.

Nia Sykes, 24, of San Francisco, a protester who was with the group, said, “I feel like the night is going great. I feel like Oakland should make some noise. This is how we need to fight back. “It’s for the murder of a black male,” said Sykes, who is black. The demonstration “is totally appropriate.” Sykes had little sympathy for the owner of Creative African Braids. “She should be glad she just lost her business and not her life,” Sykes said. She added that she did have one worry for the night: “I just hope nobody gets shot or killed.”

Americans, especially the limo left have no idea what they are getting into when they play paddy cake with these kinds of radical nuts. “Oh they don’t really mean that.” Liberals never want to own up to the intolerance and violence that the logical extension of their ideology leads to. Worse it believes it is justified to take advantage of a community’s sorrow and search for justice as a platform for their mindless violence.

Time to dust off the Patriot Act and get these terrorists off the streets.

The City staff report will be available online the Friday before (July 11).

Contra Costa County is embarking on a design process to make the Pleasant Hill BART station area more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. There are two strategies to this project:

1-Make the station area more accessible by bike and foot by building a path making the station directly accessible from the area to the northeast of the station. The general project area can be viewed here.

2-Develop a signage and wayfinding system that will guide pedestrians and cyclists in and around the station area.

Contra Costa County, with a grant from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Transportation for Livable Communities program has hired a consultant (M.I.G.) to guide this process. More information can be found by calling Steven Goetz at 925-335-1240 or by visiting the County Planning website.

On the one hand we have the hills around Pittsburg and a proposal to build 5,000 homes as if the foreclosure disaster was a work of fiction. On the other hand Concord will, in time, have plenty of land that could bring jobs and taxes for the city if they could entice big clean industries like Goggle, Microsoft, etc., to come to the area.

This is what Concord has to offer:

1. Plenty of qualified hi-tech workers would be glad to get off Hwy 4 instead fo commuting for another hour to work.
2. Plenty of land, from Concord Naval Weapons Station.
3. Access to the North Concord/Martinez BART Station on one side of CNWS.
4. Access to Buchanan Airport with a 5,000 ft runway for private and business jets.

And, they could have another reason to convince top managers to move here:
They could agree with Pittsburg to a low density, tree surrounded, Estate homes at an average of one or two per acre.

Everybody will win if one major company became the anchor for future developments. But, they must talk with each other to find the WIN-WIN set of conditions that would benefit BOTH cities: Concord and Pittsburg.

Any suggestions on how to convince both cities that this would benefit everyone in the area, including those that will continue working elsewhere. Higher average salaries make for more taxes, better schools, etc. Bay Point, halfway to Concord, (no pun intended ~ed<g>), and Pittsburg would also benefit greatly. Maybe enough to become a city?</g>
