Now I have seen it all. Bruce Elliott has painted regulars at the Old Town Ale House in Chicago for years and now has created the greatest set of political portraits that are a must for the politico in your life. Personally I am buying the Sarah Palin portrait to sit next to the moose head by my fireplace.

The public is invited to the Gallery Concord’s 2008 Holiday Party and Mini Show, Saturday, December 6, from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy refreshments and music, including the Clayton Valley High School Girls’ Chorus and see the works of the current “Fall Festival of Color” featuring internationally known artist, Qian Gao, with his expressive watercolors and Gallery guest artist, nationally recognized oil painter, Tara Keefe. Also on display will be the works of 25 CWA member artists and a juried group show by California Watercolor Artists.

Gallery Concord is located at 1765 Galindo (at the corner of Clayton Road), Concord, CA 94520. Free parking is available behind the gallery off Clayton Road. Art Expo to benefit Monument Crisis Center, Jun 26

The Monument Crisis Center (MCC) will hold its 2008 Monumental Art Expo, from 6″00 to 8″00 p.m., June 26. Gallery Concord reception to debut new watercolor exhibit, Oct 6

The Gallery Concord will hold a reception on October 6 from 1-3 p.m. to kickoff its Fall exhibit feautring the work of watercolor artist Myrna Wacknov.

The exhibit will run September 28 through December 30th. Jim Hudak, keyboardist, will provide music. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.
