contra costa small business face IRS deadline

October 15 is the deadline for those companies in Contra Costa that filed six-month extensions on April 15 for 2007 tax reporting purposes. Business insiders say that many small businesses will simply close their doors instead of file another extension. Take a look around and check back on October 16 to see who is still there. With tough business and consumer credit, many small businesses may not be able to refinance to pay IRS and stay open. But Assemblyman DeSaulnier says its better that Republicans follow their (ahem) “conscience” and give up their partisan politics to compromise with Democrats that want to raise taxes in California.
