Susan Spoke thoughtfully about the challenges facing the County and the need for true integrity where government works together instead of as “organizational silos”
She stressed the importance that working to maintain status quo was not the solution.
On a lighter note, in the tradition of the incoming Chair having an opportunity to “roast” their colleagues on the Board, Susan presented gifts representing the four elements to: Mary Piepho, (Water), Federal Glover (Earth), Gayel Uilkema (Wind), and John Gioia (Fire). As dangerous as these designations could seem, it was handled gently.
The only question is, if the other four supes are the four elementals of the ancient world, what does this make Ms. Bonilla? A Titan, Muse, or Athena?
