Contra Costa Sheriff Warren Rupf is the featured speaker at the Thursday evening, July 16 meeting of Conservative Connection, a new group aimed at broadening Republican support East Bay. Rupf’s topic will be “Contra Costa County – Not Just Broke, But Broken: Where Do We Go From Here?”

During his 43+-year career with the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff, Rupf has served at virtually every rank, in every assignment, beginning in 1965. Sheriff Rupf is a lifelong resident of Contra Costa County and is widely regarded as an expert in County operations and finances.

Rupf has received numerous awards for his contributions to charities, scholarships and other community organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and the Assistance League of Diablo Valley. Rupf currently resides in Martinez with his wife, Carole.

This program will be held at the Gardens at Heather Farm, 1540 Marchbanks Drive in Walnut Creek and is open to the public. Admission cost is $10 per person, payable at the door. Conservative Connection is a newly-formed satellite club of the Lamorinda Republican Women Federated (LRWF), offering Bay Area conservatives a unique opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and perspectives on a variety of issues in a relaxed setting and convenient evening format. Meetings are open to the public.
