n the continuing sprit of Rotary: Service Above Self, the Concord Diablo Rotary provided Santa Claus and presents for children at the Cambridge Child Development Center located in the Monument Community.
The kids greeted Santa with a chorus of cheers and sat politely through the whole giving of gifts, with the children coming up one at a time as their names were called.
Each child received a special gift with them in mind. Then after the gifts were all given out and each child was applauded by their classmates, permission was given to open all the gifts.
The room erupted in a riot of paper tearing and joyful squeals. Another sign of the commitment of the Rotarians to the community.
The Concord Diablo Rotary meets Wednesdays 12:15 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located in Concord near Buchanan Airport- 45 John Glen Drive.

It’s always a great treat to play Santa’s Helper — and to sample the great eats, afterward — at our annual Cambridge Christmas Party.
I think this is the first year I’ve missed it — and I really did miss it!
Nice going, fellow Club members!

Merry Christmas to all!
Good job Rotary. These are precious year, and memories of Santa will last a lifetime.
I hope to meet all of you at your meeting next week. Edi Birsan has invited me as a guest speaker. Looking forward to it and hoping to inspire others to help bring fresh fruit to all our sweet children, Any Town, USA. My goal isn’t only Concord, CA trees, it is fruit trees along very street in every city across America. We can inspire others. One Person, One Tree at a time. I believe it!
