Traditional Marriage UpheldCalifornia citizens mounted a tremendous grassroots effort to stand up for traditional marriage between one man and one woman by supporting Prop. 8. The vote of the people overruled the CA Supreme Court, which had invented “same-sex” marriages out of thin air. The CA Supreme Court correctly recognized that “We the People” have spoken.
Unfortunately, the Court could not resist their “legislating from the bench” propensity entirely and did allow the 18,000 homosexual “marriages” to stand.
“The illogic of the Court is astounding as Prop 8 clearly states, '…only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California, regardless of when or where performed.' Obviously, the Court cannot understand what the words ‘is’ and 'when' mean.” stated Ken Mettler, President of the California Republican Assembly.
The California Republican Assembly is the premier conservative grassroots volunteer organization in the state.

CRA statement on Prop 8 court decision

Traditional Marriage Upheld

California citizens mounted a tremendous grassroots effort to stand up for traditional marriage between one man and one woman by supporting Prop. 8.
