With all the recent charges concerning Sarah Palin’s parenting skills and exploitation of her children, the issue about care of special needs children has been raised by many commenters.
Let’s remember that the Left has always been in favor of eugenics, and cleaning out the gene pool of unwanted traits, even races. Check into the history of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood and you’ll see what I mean.
That said, for as much fun some are having at the expense of Sarah Palin, let’s remember what the Kennedy’s did to their special needs child. They hid Rose Mary from public view, and lobotomized her. Another great example from holier than thous to follow.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg recently stated she understood Roe v Wade more as a matter of killing off poor people than as a woman’s right to choose.
Consider Obama’s science Czar, John Holdren, who wrote with Paul Ehrlich back in the 1970s that government should enforce abortion, particularly of the fecund poor (and Catholic), as a matter of social policy to battle over population. Even Justice Homes spoke of abortion as a form of eugenics as a useful tool to kill off the criminal class in the womb before they grow up to be monsters.
So what would you prefer, a politician that whines openly about care for special needs kids or mad scientists and scolds determined to end poverty by ending lives?
