The Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center, the City of Walnut Creek, the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Business Association, and Broadway Plaza will co-sponsor an inauguration celebration to mark the historic election of Barack Obama as the nation’s first multi-racial President.
This event is FREE; however, RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED as space is limited. YOU NEED A TICKET TO GET IN.
The event begins January 20 at 7:30 a.m. PDST at the Lesher Center for the Arts, located in Walnut Creek at 2602 Civic Drive. Call the Chamber of Commerce at 925-934-2007 if website is unavailable.

I heard that County Republicans were invited to participate for the sake of bipartisan good will but declined. And, while the entire table of the Democratic Central Committee was recognized from the dais during the County Reorganization luncheon, not one elected Republican was mentioned, as not even a Central Committee member was in attendance.
Talk about going underground like Saddam hiding in a hole.
