Holy cow! ’Ugly On The Inside” is the first video from Syrym’s self-titled debut album. With smoking guitar and a tight rythm section these guys put a fresh sound on the hard rock medium. The lead vocals of singer and East Bay resident Jeff Windslow find that balance between clean with a bit of an edge to it. Of course I love the Marshall stacks in the back ground with a nice driving rythym.
Every great song has a hook to it and this is no different. The lyric “I’am Ugly On The Inside now I know what beautiful is about” is just one of theose catchy and funny phrases that hits you in the solorplexes. I can just hear it easly become one of those turn phrases that gets into the lexicon. Like she is a nice person but you know… Ugly On The Inside.”
This rocking quartet is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
