Welcome Mayor of Concord to a new local blog covering Concord, with its first story about What’s Wrong With Clayton. Apparently registered to a Koka Sexton, a vet and self-described tech geek and systems softwa re distributor, the site offers news feeds from the Contra Costa Times site, cars for sale from eBay, a link to free stuff on Craigslist, and a pending Jobs section, which would be interesting, depending on how it is implemented. A tad derivative; like we already don’t have a Mayor of Claycord. But hey, have fun, Mayor and blog on!

lol. The domain name is what it is, I can’t change it now. Like I mention on the site, I got the domain not knowing what I was going to do with it. All it was intended to do was host some information about the city and allow me to be a bit creative. The intent is to join the online conversation about the city and some of the issues I see fit to write about. Getting the domain name was really a fluke since I really would have thought someone would already own it. Now I’ll just make the best of it and try to do right by the community. Imagine if someone got the domain and set up a site like the old whitehouse.com site.
~ EDITOR REPLIES — OK by me. Have at it!
I discovered the Mayor Claycord from Halfway to Concord. And Claycord was my inspiration, too, especially with the historic photos. But I agree with Mister Writer, Koka really, really needs a new Blog name.
Send me a message through the contact page of my site with you information so we can talk.
Koka,
Read your bio, watched your videos – interesting person with a fascinating background. Given that, Mayor of Concord is Bill Shinn and the name too much like Claycord to get a serious nod. I agree that there are many areas that can be focused on – my suggestion – pick a new name that won’t be compared. Be an original.
BTW – up for an interview on your experiences and homecoming? I also co-publish The Concordian? Let me know.

Thanks for the mention. The Mayor of Claycord is my inspiration for doing this. I guarantee he will provide more information than me but I will put as much work into being the unofficial mayor as I can. I really was surprised to see that local issues were being blogged about with such frequency and I wanted to help out. Amazing that “mayor of concord” wasn’t already snagged by someone so I thought I put something together.
