Michelle Malkin smells a rat

Michelle Malkin knows a rat when she sees one. And the rest of California taxpayers fed up with profligate spending do, too.

Looks like Malkin didn’t much care for the fetid smell of California’s Republican Party leadership when she posted about CA GOP pooh bah, Ron Nehring, getting booed off the stage during the Tea Party in Sacramento.

Malkin says Tea Party organizer Mark Meckler characterized Nehring as an opportunist. We can’t wait to see how far her button nose turns up when Malkin gets a whiff of Tom Del Beccaro, the vainglorious #2 in the non-existent California GOP.

Problem with both these guys is they seem to be spending more of their time building their resumes instead of the party.

Didn’t Tom Del Beccaro’s group just have their big golf tournament? Where’s that money? How can they be broke already? Has it all gone to Caporusso? Has anybody asked if Caporusso is being paid by Del Beccaro’s first amendment cause or if he’s just sucking the dollars out of the Contra Costa Republican Party. Contra Costa Republicans should keep their pocketbooks closed as long as the Three Financial Stooges (Tom Del Beccaro, Greg Poulos and Michael Caporusso) are in charge.

LOL When it first appeared it was named Tom Del Becarros First Amendment Now

Just a way for Tom to ingratiate himself to third tier hot talk hosts as if he’s leading some parade

I would question any person who claims to be fighting for “free speech,” while at the same time regularly removes posted comments on the so-called “1st Amendment Now” Facebook group which are not to his personal liking.

Apparently the only projects or positions the CCRP takes a stand on or gets involved in are the ones that feather Tom Del Becarro’s nest. Anything else is chopped liver.

How else does one explain Caparusso spending his time on Tom’s secret projects instead of the CCRP office, GOTV on last election, voter registration, or outreach; let alone deign to answer the phone or be civil. I don’t think the CCRP has yet to say “boo” to any county issue.

As General Motors once crowed: what’s good for Tom Del Becarro is good for the CCRP. Looks like the CCRP is following in the footsteps of bankruptcy under our very noses.

I recommend all Republicans stop funding the CCRP until it rids itself of Tom and his idiot gang where defeated committee candidates end up appointed chair by Tom and the former girl friend treasurer can’t even conjure a P&L.

What a bunch of losers.

The only time I had any interaction with Michael Caporusso was last Fall (08) when I approached both political parties with the idea of supporting the more Open Space plan for the Concord Naval Weapon Station. It was an easy sell for the Democratic Club who supported then supported the plan in the City Council meeting.
I argued that the Republicans could come out for something pro environment, make a common cause with major segments of the community and show that they could actually take a stand on without being divisive. While he agreed that he was opposed to the Village Plan (the alternative) more than being in favor of the Open Space plan, he said he had to go to the Director and the Board for such a statement and he would get back to me. Despite several follow ups, I never heard from him or the Republican Party on the issue, let alone in time for the City Council meetings,
While the City Council eventually favored the Village Plan anyway, the point is that this was an opportunity lost and lost in a manner that did not reflect well
on the Republican Party.

As Registered Republican above says, the consultant Michael Caporusso doesn’t answer phones in his part-time role of Executive Director of the Central Committee. The Chairman, Greg Polous, proudly announced this while claiming Caporusso the greatest Executive Director in California.

Since Caporusso is rarely in the office, I guess he doesn’t have to answer phones or return e-mails. So the question is, what does he do with the time for which he Committee is paying him $48,000 a year? Best guess is he is putting most of his time on Del Beccaro’s projects while the Central Committee is footing the bill. Caporusso is listed as Executive Director of the firstamendmentnow.com group Del Becarro recently started.

Caporusso owes an accounting of his time to the Central Committee, not just the Chairman. The Committe needs to know if it is getting it’s money worth. The answer to that is clear, they aren’t.

What’s the biggest expense of the Party (the Party is broke)? It’s Caporusso. And just why does the Party need an Executive Director? Phones aren’t answered (oh, I forgot, he doesn’t do that) the office is rarely open (and the rent is in arrears) , the web site is out of date, there is no campaign going on, and on and on. Everthing can be handled by volunteers and the $48K can go to further the Republican cause instead of being wasted on Caporusso.

A number of Republicans have said they will not give one dollar to the Republican Party as long as a single penny is being paid to Caporusso. I can be listed among them.

Meanwhile, Michelle, put the magnifying glass on Del Becarro and you might find some interesting things.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what the past two people have posted is so true that it’s sad. I have NEVER met such and ego maniac like Del Beccaro in my life. In public and on the radio, he comes across as sober and intelligent, but he has a Mr. Hyde if I’ve ever seen one. From what I’ve seen he is a bully towards the women and elderly members, and he is a serial womanizer (just ask his ex) and is in the throes of a passionate love affair with himself. I don’t care how much he supposedly contributed to the party in the past. He is currently running the party, which is broke by the way, into the ground and it is inexcusable. I think Tom is about to see his star fizzle. What goes around comes around in the end.

It’s amazing the insults that freely flows from these peoples mouths. So Michael is not a “secretary”. Funny, the Executive Directors of past answered the phones while they were in the office, they kept the website up to date and they returned emails. They did all of this while planning precinct walks, phone banks, fundraisers (that earned money)…etc. Those Executive Directors worked solely for the party, their names were not (let me say that again) WERE NOT attached to another organization as their Executive Director. Executive Directors of the past did the job they were hired to do and did it in a way that the Central Committee could be functional. I dare any of them to say to the past Executive Directors that they were only Secretary’s.

It’s pretty sad that the Central Committee is in the state it is in. Republican Central Committee’s are for all Republican’s NOT just for the chosen few who were hand selected for the Executive Committee. At what point does those individuals open their eyes and acknowledge the damage they have caused.

Michelle Malkin please turn your cute nose toward Tom Del Beccaro. He’s in need of investigation. Several people confirmed that Tuesday evening it was announced that the Executive Director of Tom Del Beccaro’s Contra Costa Republican Party Central Committee, a Michael Caporusso, is not a secretary and does not answer phones. Since he’s the only one in the office and he doesn’t answer phones, who does? That explains the complaints. He also doesn’t have time to update the website either from the looks of it.

So what ’s the guy doing with his time and the reported $4,000 a month he gets from the Central Committee?

It’s speculated that Caporusso is actually working on Tom Del Beccaro’s first amendment project while he’s sucking the dollars out of the broke Central Committee. Say it isn’t so Tom. Oh, that’s right. I hear you didn’t bother to show up at the meeting to cover for your protege.

Michelle Malkin, are you listening? Contra Costa needs you. The California Republican Party needs you since Tom Del Beccaro planning to run for state party chair. This attitude and financial shenanigans won’t do the party any good.
