Meg Whitman, a Republican candidate for California Governor in 2010, spoke before a Sacramento GOP Holiday Party to pitch her vision for California: “Jobs, spending, K-12 education. If we do not fix these we will end up with a much diminished workforce and a second rate state.”
Meg, it’s real simple:
1. Demand that stimulus money in California be used for real jobs in the private sector and not as a slush fund protection racket for state budget bailouts, political pals, and union hacks.
2. Forget about all the puffery about 2/3 majorities and new and oppressive ways to raise taxes. Demand real reform and cut spending, first!
3. Fund every child equally back to parents the right to choose education for their children instead of trapping them in dead end gubbermint run schools that serve unions, bureaucrats, and politicians—instead of parents, teachers, and children.

Whitman needs to explain what she will cut out of the budget to fund the $11.1 billion water bond she is supporting. We will soon be spending 10% of the state budget to fund the bonds we have already approved.
If Whitman or any other politician wants to spend money, tell us how it will be paid for.
