Lloyd quells rabid rumors

Judy Lloyd, SRVUSD, san ramon valley school district, board, rumors, cta, teachers union

We recently received a preposterous warning from “Cyberdog” about a supposed “stealth” campaign of Judy Lloyd to take over the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

“Watch Judy Lloyd. she is attempting to do an end run around the unions to take the Joan Buchannon seat on the San Ramon Valley School Board. in the next 15 days the appointment will be made.”

Heavens to Betsy. Here you have it folks, Contra Costa County’s first documented whacko conspriacy of 2009.

Judy Lloyd, meanwhile, takes it all in stride, when she was asked to disprove a negative,

There is no “conspiracy.” It is a completely transparent, public process and I commend the SRVUSD board, superintendent and staff for their diligence in making the appointment in the public eye. They are doing a great job to make the process something that the community will be proud of. Regardless of whom they choose, they are doing a fine job for our community and their handling of this very public deliberation is evidence of that. I think I can help which is why I decided to throw my hat in the ring.

Lisa Vorderbrueggen covers this topic in a different way with some interesting discussion including a Cyberdog baring its fangs.

I know Judy is dying to be in political office somewhere. She will twist and contort her stances on the issues to fit the mold. How much administrative experience she has i don’t know. She calls herself a business woman but until she left the Bush Administration it seems that is when she started touting her business acumen. I mean as much as she likes to think she is she is not Meg Whitman.

She has it right being in favor of school choice or vouchers and she did not support the horrible school parcel tax measure when it was on the ballot last spring.

My greatest hope for her if she makes it to the board she would be to bring a real Republican/conservative voice to school matters. Think of the late Ernie Scherer. He was a fine fellow who stood for conservative values while serving on the SRVUSD. That is until the unions ran him off and replaced him with Joan Buchanan.

Judy please tell those hard working taxpaying SRVUD conservatives how you are going help them on the board so we can call in and support you with a clean conscious. Please tell us what you really believe and not some blather about budget cuts etc.

I agree with Mr. Stanley. It is people like her who tell it like it is and who have a backbone to deal with what could be our worst funding nightmares in recent history for the schools all over CA. She cares. Good for her for applying – I think she will watch budgets and bring the perspective of somone with experience and her labor background should help in negotiations – she has said before that she thinks it is terrible that we can’t pay our teachers enough to live comfortably in the East Bay. Maybe she can help.

Judy Lloyd was not my choice during the 15th AD Republican primary. This is not to say that she was a poor candidate… only that my political beliefs’ were more in-line with one of the other Republican candidates’ in the race.

I thought that education and Lloyd’s stance on illegal immigration were the two strong points of her 15th AD campaign. So, this may just turnout to be a perfect fit for her. Plus, we need more Republicans’ in office throughout the entire Bay Area! Good luck!
