The only no-compromise gun lobby in Washington D.C. has endorsed Republican David Harmer for Congressional District 10. Not only did Gun Owners of America (GOA) endorse Harmer, but they also gave him an ‘A’ rating based on his unwavering support of the right to keep and bear arms.
Harmer provided answers to a GOA Candidate Survey questioneer which according to GOA Vice Chairman, Tim Macy, signifies Harmer’s 100% support of 2nd Amendment rights.
Harmer authored a 1998 Brigham Young University Law Review article entitled Securing a Free State: Why the Second Amendment Matters that helped contribute to the shift in legal thinking that the 2nd Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, as opposed to a collective right.
Residents’ in CD-10 that value their gun rights’ may want to show up at the polls next Tuesday and cast their vote for conservative Republican David Harmer.
Harmer’s main competition, liberal Democrat John Garamendi represents the opposing position to that of Harmer’s constitutional stand point on firearms. Garamendi is supportive of strict federal gun control laws and is in favor of the intrusive California ammunition restriction bill (AB962) that was signed into law earlier this month mandating that individuals purchasing ammunition be fingerprinted and registered at the time of sale, that gun stores keep and maintain records on each individual buyer for at least five years and make those records available for inspection by the California Department of Justice and even outlaws private mail order ammunition purchases. Attempts are already underway to repeal this unpopular law.
Halfway to Concord contacted the Garamendi campaign to obtain more information on their candidate’s position only to find out from paid staffers that, “…the 2nd Amendment is not a major issue with John’s [Garamendi] campaign.”
If you’re pro-gun, pro-rights and pro-self defense, the choice is obvious… David Harmer for Congress!

This endorsement should be retracted.

“…Shall not be infringed…” Birsan
I would guess that arms, being deemed “necessary to the security of a free state” may be a bit extreme to an individual with such a poor understanding of why it was that the Founders made the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Too bad your views’ on the role of government weren’t as “limited” as your views on the 2nd Amendment.
If you think about it Birsan (or maybe pick it up and read it) the U.S. Constitution is supposed to be extreme. The 2nd Amendment, being apart of the Bill of Rights is a “limitation” on government authority over individuals and individual rights.
Personally, I’m all for “extreme” limitations on government involvement in my life, especially those that restrict what the federal government says that I can legally have to protect my life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
Harmer’s position on the 2nd Amendment is one of the main reasons that he’ll be getting my vote on November 3rd!
Garamendi (the out of district Rancher) holds a position that the 2nd Amendment is not a major issue in his campaign for CD-10, however, the right to keep and bear arms is under direct attack by Johnny Boy’s liberal friends’ Nancy (the Doctor) Pelosi, John (the Hunter) Kerry, Arnold (the RINO) Scwarzenegger and many other anti-right politicians, which just so happens to be an important issue to this 10th Congressional District voter.
A man who truly supports the second amendment. The purpose of the second amendment is supposed to be extreme Birsan.
Garamendi was an awful insurance commissioner in the pocket of big insurance companies. Garamendi is a shill for unions and has announced he is a supporter of the full Obamacare with the government takeover of your health care. Garamendi will rubber stamp whatever Pelosi and Obama put in front of him.
Vote for Harmer. We cannot afford anymore tax and spend representatives.
And if you read the quoted paper of Harmer two things stand out
1. He feels that any weapon that can be carried and used by an infantryman including fully automatic weapons and probably RPG’s and the like that are individual weapons, should be in the general public
2. the main purpose of this weaponry right is not individual safety from crime, but for the purpose of fighting the government.
This is rather grossly extreme on both counts.
I heard that the Flat Earth Society has endorsed Harmer as well.
