We’d suggest Mr. Schwarzenegger and the rest of the Sacramento establishment take a field trip to New Hampshire. That state maintains better schools, roads and general public services than California, though the Live Free or Die state has no sales or income tax. Meanwhile, California labors under the second highest income tax rates, and the politicians now want to impose the fourth highest sales tax. And the state still has the largest budget deficit in the nation.
The real crisis isn’t a lack of tax dollars. It’s a political class that is spending that beautiful state to ruin.

Several members from the Constitutional Republicans tried to get the Alameda County Republican Central Committee to discuss a Resolution in opposition to the Governor’s planned tax-increase. The vote failed 8-6.
One week after the vote failed, the CRP Board of Supervisors passed one of their own 14-2. We will attempt to discuss this again at the December Executive Committee meeting. I’m hoping that my fellow Alameda County Republicans will act like conservatives, take a stand and pass a Resolution. Our friends in the state legislature need to know that we’re with them and that they have our support. And the Governor needs to know that other Republicans will hold him accountable to his campaign promises’ from back in 06′.
Real Republicans know that we need to address “spending” before we even consider raising taxes. That goes for both the federal level and the state!
