I told you so. But don’t listen to me. Here’s what Peter Goodman wrote in the blessed NY Times today. But why do we we need first VA housing assistance, then FHA, then Fannie Mae, and then even Freddie MAC? Wouldn’t one do? Why do we need multiple government agencies that just keep reproducing themselves? This makes me really mad, especially since it is well documented that the only thing that government subsidized housing—including trailer parks in Concord—does is it makes affordable housing less available to the poor over time.
