The United Mt Diablo Athletic Foundation has scheduled several fundraising events for school sports programs across the district.
First, a 5K Run & Walk on October 18 at Newhall Park, in Concord California. All MDUSD students and families and community are encouraged to support this huge fundraiser to “SAVE OUR SPORTS!” According to the Foundation, “We only need you and your family to register, we need students to obtain sponsors for their run, all students that obtain at least $25 in sponsorships, do not pay the registration fee!”
All proceeds will go directly toward keeping sports in our high schools, all donations are tax deductible, the Foundation is a 501(c) 3 corporation.
“As a Foundation we have pledged to give MDUSD $200,000 toward high school sports for this year, 2009/2010. Without this donation from the Foundation and the contributions due from families toward the sports your child(ren) are involved in, we will not be able to keep sports in our District. The time to act is now!”
Then, during the week from October 19 through 26, The Old Spaghetti Factory at Todos Santos Plaza in downtown Concord, will donate 25% of all Pasta Classics sales when you present the flyer below with your payment.
You can go everyday but the schedule highlights schools by day”

Oct 20 – College Park
Oct 21 – Concord
Oct 22 – Clayton Valley
Oct 26 – Ygnacio Valley and Mt Diablo (GO RED DEVILS!)
