EPA to declare carbon dioxide a public danger

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said this morning it will soon announce that Carbon Dioxide (C02), including emissions from business, automobiles, and politicians, is an official PUBLIC DANGER.

“Climate change has now become a household issue,” said Lisa Jackson, head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), adding that the evidence of climate change was real and increasingly alarming. “This administration will not ignore science or the law any longer, nor will we ignore the responsibility we owe to our children and our grandchildren.”

According to the Guardian in the U.K., “The announcement gives the EPA a legal basis for capping emissions from major sources such as coal power plants, as well as cars. Jackson said she hoped it would help to spur a deal in Copenhagen.”

What it really means is the Obama Administration and the statists supporting him are ready to abandon a legislative process in favor of questionable bureaucratic fiat, to enforce government intrusion into daily life of every American.

Jackson is scheduled to address the Copenhagen meeting on Wednesday, while Obama will join more than 100 other world leaders in the Danish capital on the final day of the conference, on 18 December.

This move is NOT about saving the environment. It is not even about science. It is a pure power play, to avoid a reluctant Senate, unable to pass economy crushing Cap ‘n Tax legislation, a failed Copenhagen meeting taking place now, and the ClimateGate scandal that has rocked the scientific community exposing the fraudulent manipulation of climate research data for political purposes.
