According to Senator DeSaulnier’s office, “Reducing the effects of global warming and climate change may be the single most important issue of this generation. The legislature took an important step to address greenhouse gas emissions by passing Assembly Bill 32, which enacted the Global Warming Act of 2006 with a stated goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020.
“But what steps can we take as individuals to reduce pollution and better protect our natural resources? What can we do on a daily basis to contribute to a healthier environment for our families and communities? Senator DeSaulnier will provide answers to his constituents and information on resources available to them.”
“Last year’s event was highly successful, and I am looking forward to providing updated and useful information people can use in their everyday lives to help conserve and improve our environment,” stated DeSaulnier.
