THIS EVENT IS CANCELED
According to the Contra Costa Council, “Unfortunately Congressman George Miller’s breakfast, Monday, November 30, 2009, must be cancelled due to congressional responsibilities in Washington. Our hope is to re-schedule him sometime after the first of the year. Thank you for your interest.”
Truth is, George chickened out as he only does conference calls now. There would have been a huge protest waiting for him. George could feel it like Brady Quinn feels Ray Lewis charging his blind side.
Don’t expect to get a word in edgewise but the Contra Costa Council is hosting a breakfast on Monday November 30 featuring Rep George Miller (CA-07), who will pontificate on matters of healthcare reform and other legislative issues before the Congress.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 45 John Glenn Dr in Concord. Tickets for Council members and local electeds are $35, while the hoi polloi can pay $45. Co-Host is Kaiser Permanent, Chevron, John Muir Health, Contra Costa Water District, and Miller Starr Regalia.
