The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index has been developed to provide the official measure for health and well-being. It’s the voice of Americans and the most ambitious effort ever undertaken to measure what people believe constitutes a good life.
The site has indices tracking overall well being, life evaluation, emotional and physical health, behaviors, work environment and basic access. At this point in time folks may be looking up compared to this time last year but in general life sucks.

Six of the top ten best are in California and none of the bottom 10 are in California. Horray for us!
Not sure if division by Congressional Districts is the way to measure this and considering the redistricting every 10 years maybe it is of very limited historic comparison, but hey let’s take the good news and cheer.
