Equality California, which advocates on behalf of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people for equal and secure legal protections, released its annual report card for state legislators. And according to his office, Sen. Mark DeSaulnier had the following to say about receiving 100 percent:
“I’m pleased to receive Equality California’s recognition,” DeSaulnier said. “The votes I cast to earn EQCA’s acknowledgement were for safer, healthier communities and work places for everyone. When anyone is excluded from the rights and privileges the rest of us enjoy, we are all weaker for it.”
DeSaulnier also received 90 percent on the California League of Conservation Voters’ environmental scorecard this year.
