There were stories of people who had gone through the center and had established small businesses and advanced, as well as stories of Michael Chavez the Concord City Councilman who died in office two years ago. I especially liked the story of the first meeting between Susan Bonilla and Michael where he asked her 'Who does your hair?' *Michael was a hairdresser.The education center with its rows of new computers was also quite impressive.It is not widely known that the Center has provided over 1100 hours of free volunteers to the City of Concord.
