The Friends of the Concord Library, a volunteer group that has supported the library for more than four decades, has scheduled a fundraising book sale for Saturday, August 8th at noon, at 2900 Salvio St., in Concord, (925) 646-5455.
Open to the public, the multi-use room will be filled with rows and stacks of books in all categories from Histories to Romances as well as Historic Romances. All funds go to support the library. With the budget cuts being made everywhere, the Friends are stepping up their book sales as well as membership drives to help out.
