Halfway to Concord conducted an Exit Poll at a Livermore polling station from 5:30 – 6:30 PM today.
Republican David Harmer got off to an early lead and held strong during the duration of the poll finishing with 19 individual confirmed votes. The most out of all the candidates by far.
John Garamendi and Gary Clift battled it out for second place with Garamendi gaining the upper hand right before the end of the poll netting 7 votes to Clift’s 5.
Joan Buchanan finished with 3 comfirmed votes and Chris Bunch received 2 from a couple that expected his numbers to increase. They liked the fact that Bunch is only 32 years old.
Woods had 1 vote. The other candidates all failed to register any confirmed support with the participating voters. Mark DeSaulnier completely struck out.
In all, 51 voters were polled. 37 voters participated in the poll and 14 did not. Voters were not asked to give their names or political Party affiliation. They were asked if they wanted to participate in the poll and who they voted for.
One voter asked if what I was doing was legal with no intention of being rude. Most people passing by the library that were not there to vote had no idea there was a special primary election today. One man elected to head back to his car saying that his polling station was in Springtown.
