Contra Costa GOP is broke

The Contra Costa GOP is broke; in more ways than one. Required Federal reporting (see document below) shows outstanding bills of $2,051 and cash on hand of just $465. This looks more like Contra Costa County’s budget and California’s deficit spending than the P&L of a political organization that would fool others into believing it was the party of fiscal restraint and responsibility.

The Contra Costa GOP is also broke as its leadership has completely gone AWOL in terms of following its own bylaws, organizational transparency, financial reporting, and fundraising, which is supposed to be Tom Del Beccaro’s forte, yes?

The Contra Costa Republican Central Committee should demand an independent audit today.

That Nehring and Del Beccaro can be reelected as California GOP Chair and Vice Chair without opposition shows just how broke the Republican Party in the Golden State actually is.

Unfortunately there are too many 65+ culture warriors and blue-haired Bush poodles willing to play victim as the GOP leadership perpetrates one failure on top of another; while so many passersby look the other way like it was a gruesome, heads-on, high-speed car accident.

I see a wheel from the accident wobbling down the street and coming to a rest next to a telephone pole. Its name is the Contra Costa County Republican Central Committee.

Film at eleven.

How did this happen with State Vice Chairman Tom Del Beccaro running the fundraising events for the county party? Can it be that his Speaker Series and Golf Tournament. aren’t as successful as he claims? Or can’t he balance a budget? Can a political party go broke? Would anybody miss the Central Committee if it went away?
