Speaking as an individual, as well as a California Republican Party Delegate and the Alameda County Republican Party Vice Chairman, I have to say that I’m very disappointed by Mr. Thomas Del Beccaro!
Recently in a Facebook exchange between myself and Mr. Del Beccaro he explained that the Republican Party is the “law and order party.” See text below…
11:23am On Facebook -Thomas
“i do know that we are the law and order party and that if (we) compromise that ideal – we will lose even more branding”
Since we are the “law and order party” I thought that I’d ask Mr. Del Beccaro about the situation in Contra Costa regarding the disregard of County Bylaws. See text below…
“Hey Tom, I heard that the Contra Costa County Committee has been having some problems. The word is that some of the officers were appointed to the committee and it wasn’t in accordance with the Bylaws. Some of us are concerned, since we are the “law and order” party and we don’t want to divert from what the Republican Party stands for. Please explain… “accountability” is also important within the GOP!”

I don’t think that Mr. Del Beccaro approved of my comment, or maybe he doesn’t support the freedom of speech because he removed my comment, didn’t address the question, and “de-faced” (removed) me as one of his friends on Facebook.
I would like to suggest contacting the new Bay Area GOP Vice Chair Morgan Kelly about the apparent tendency of Bay Area County Committees to regularly divert from the rules and regulations set forth in Committee Bylaws. You can use numerous examples…
1.) Contra Costa seating and appointment/election of executive committee elected officers.
2.) Alameda County lawsuit (the only “registration” requirements to be a member of the County Committee (according to our Bylaws) are to be elected in the “primary” election by Republican voters, and that members are legally registered members of the Republican Party.) By the way, an appeal was recently filed by Paul Cummings and the California Republican Party filed a friend of the court brief in support of Cummings. Since the Alameda County GOP is a sovereign political organization that is voluntarily affiliated with the California Republican Party, I don’t appreciate them sticking their nose in Alameda County business.
3.) In Marin County, the GOP County Committee passed a Resolution against the California Tax-Increase. The Resolution passed by a legally valid vote of the Marin County Republican Central Committee, which frankly was not even close (14 yeas to 6 nays). The Marin County Republican Central Committee Chairman then proceeded most arbitrarily to change the wording of the Resolution and to refuse publication, even though the text of the Resolution specifically called for it to be published.
There are lots of questions, not very many answers, and very little accountability within our Grand Old Party! Republicans should demand better!

Paul Cummings filed an Appeal on March 10th, 2009. Cummings said Wednesday that the judge “got the law wrong” and that Judge Roesch’s “bizarre interpretation of what an election is certainly surprised me and has our counsel dumbfounded.”
This is more than ironic since the last thing in the world Del Beccaro or the Bay Area GOP stands for is free speech.
The last thing Del Beccaro wants is for people to talk about the Republican Central Committee of Contra Costa budget and cash flow. If they really opened the books the committee might find they’ve been supporting Tom Del Beccaro Inc., instead of the GOP.
Furthermore, free speech and rule of law is not a priority for any of the Bay Area GOP organizations that are trying to overturn committee elections in more than one county and place members on other committees without following their own bylaws.
Speaking as an individual, I am offended that the California Republican Party is engaging in such divisive and damaging actions against officers and members of the Alameda County Republican Party . The ACRP is a sovereign political organization that is voluntarily affiliated with the CRP. It is not their business to be interfering with County Committee affairs.
I am also offended that they are aiding and abetting an attempt to remove Mr. Stanley, myself and 5 other committee members. Asking a judge to reverse a certified election shows complete disrespect to the Republican voters in the county. They should make a public apology and withdraw their brief.
It’s interesting that Tom Del Beccaro deleted a wall post I left on his Facebook. The post simply posed a question regarding his involvement and support of the lawsuit. It would seem that he is against Ron Paul supporters, free speech…. whats next?
