Albert Seeno Jr., one of Contra Costa’s local home builders, announced today that he will abandon all plans to build executive housing up to the rim of the Pittsburg hills bordering Concord’s Naval Weapons Station development, for the sake of preservation.
Company spokespeeps said Seeno would donate the land to East Bay Regional Parks so that it could integrate the thousands of acres into EBRP planning around Concord’s CWS planning.
“It’s time my company gave back to the community instead of try to squeeze the last dollar and protected toad out of every deal,” said Seeno in a prepared statement. “I look forward to donating even more land to open space as it builds value of the homes I’ve already built.”
