In a speech given at the chaotic U.N. Copenhagen Climate Conference this week, former vice president Al Gore, called for U.S. Senate passage of legislation cutting “emissions of global warming pollution” by April 22, 2010, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. He assured the audience that the Senate “is very close to having sufficient votes to pass” Cap and Trade.
