The only “tax” is withholding for independent contractors who make more than $600 per year. I don’t consider this a tax, but just something everyone has to do. People working in the cash economy ought to fess up and pay their fair share. Cal Grants would be cut by half not eliminated. Additionally, I would make Cal Grants more competitive instead of a gimme.
The Interactive budget paints one into a corner unnecessarily by cutting entire programs instead of REDUCING THEM, D’UH, or manage other spending like mentioned in this story.
